Have Questions about Our Services? Let's Answer Them.

Leaving your pet behind, even for a short trip, is a big decision. We understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable with the place you choose. Below you’ll find detailed answers to the most common questions we receive about boarding at Gypsy Glen K-9 Kastle. If you don’t see your question here, we are always happy to talk through your pet’s specific needs.
For the health and safety of all pets in our care, we require up-to-date vaccinations before check-in, as required by the state. Dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and Bordetella. Cats must be current on rabies and distemper. Proof of vaccination from your veterinarian is required prior to arrival. These standards help us maintain a clean, healthy environment and reduce the risk of illness while pets are staying with us.
Yes. We encourage pet owners to see where their pets will be staying. Touring the facility gives both you and your pet peace of mind and allows you to ask questions in person. You’ll be able to see the boarding areas, outdoor runs, and overall setup so you can feel confident about your choice.
You are welcome to bring your pet’s regular food to help avoid digestive upset during their stay. We recommend pre-portioned meals labeled with feeding instructions. You may also bring comfort items such as blankets or toys, which are encouraged to help your pet feel more at home. We do not provide bedding, but each suite includes raised resting benches for comfort. If your pet is on medication, please include clear written instructions.
Dogs receive outdoor time in secure play yards at least 4 times a day. Fresh air and movement are important for both physical health and stress relief. Our staff monitors all activity to ensure safety. Cats are housed separately in comfortable accommodations and receive daily care and attention as well.
Yes. We routinely administer oral medications and can accommodate many special care instructions. Please provide medications in their original containers along with detailed written directions. An additional charge may apply depending on the medication and per-dose requirements. If your pet requires more advanced medical care, we are happy to discuss those needs prior to booking. —
If a pet shows signs of illness, we will contact you immediately as well as your designated veterinarian. If veterinary care is needed, we will follow the emergency contact information you provide at check-in. Your pet’s well-being is our priority, and we act quickly and responsibly in any situation. —
We carefully follow feeding instructions provided at check-in. Whether your pet eats once daily, multiple small meals, or has dietary restrictions, we stick to your established routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and consistent. Depending on the complexity and intensity of feeding requirements, an additional charge may apply.
Our staff monitors pets throughout the day and maintains structured routines to ensure safety and cleanliness. Dogs are placed appropriately based on temperament and size when outdoors. Our goal is to create a calm, controlled environment where every pet feels secure. The owners live on the property, and a fire alarm system is installed to provide an added layer of safety and peace of mind.
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. Boarding spaces can fill quickly during summer, spring break, and major holidays. Reserving in advance ensures your pet has a spot secured for your travel dates.
